Reports in Holland say Feyenoord are not sure of star striker Robin van Persie. As the experiment with Dirk Kuyt paid off last term and with his retirement, many pointed to the former Arsenal and Manchester United man as the next rallying man.
The club director Martin van Geel is seeking to convince the Netherlands international to make the move from his Turkish base with Fenerbahce. However, reports say other members of the board are not sure it is the right move.

Dutch soccer legend Dirk Kuyt, captain of Eredivisie title-winning Feyenoord is joined by 24-year old Ajax skipper Davy Klaassen to protest the use of artificial turfs in the top tier.
Twelve captains were of top sides were involved in the protests against the use of artificial turf. They asked the national soccer federation and the organizers of the league to make amends.
The captains used their national union VVCS to make their case for a natural turf.
“I know for sure that due to artificial pitches, Dutch football will fall further behind,” Kuyt said.

Former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has advised Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum to make sure that his club beat Manchester United this weekend.
Kuyt was one of the players on the Liverpool team to score a hat-trick in this fixture. An incredible success in 2011 is still remembered by most Liverpool fans, and certainlyKuyt. Even if he was not known for his goals in his Liverpool career,Kuyt came up with an incredible hat-trick in 2011. This inspired a 3-1 success over United. Liverpool and United will be renewing the old rivalry this weekend.

Feyenoord skipperDirk Kuyt says that he is left extremely disappointed with the 1-1 draw with rivals Ajax, as he felt that the home team deserved more than just one point from the game.
Even though Ajax had more opportunities in front of goal, it was Feyenoord who controlled the game at all areas of the pitch. After a goalless first half, KasperDolberg opened the scoring in the 55th minute. It was a major blow to the home team as they were hoping to extend their advantage at the top of the table. Just when it seemed that a recovery would not be possible, former Liverpool forward Kuyt came up with a late goal to get at least a point from the match.

The Dutch giant played a 1-1 draw with archrivals Ajax. A late Dirk Kuyt equalizer was the saviour. The former Liverpool striker converted his chance to cancel out a Kasper Dolberg's opener in the game played at De Kuip.

Fenerbahce returned to winning ways after enduring a string of poor performances, defeating Gaziantepspor 2-1.
The Istanbul-based club have suffered a bad start this term despite being the runners-up in the Spor Toto Super League last season. The win would serve as a confidence booster when they meet Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday, September 29th.

Galatasaray made a move to take the 29-year old midfielder Lucas Leiva away from Liverpool and seemed close to signing the Brazilian midfielder after they agreed terms with the Premier League side, with Lucas looking set to follow Dirk Kuyt from The Reds into Turkish Football.
Lucas Leiva started his career as a box-to-box midfielder at Gremio in Brazil where he won the Campeonato Gaucho in 2006 and 2007. In July 2007 he was signed by Liverpool, where he developed into one of the league's premier defensive midfielders.
The right-footer midfielder has since made over 300 appearances for the club and won the League Cup in 2012. From 2010 to 2016 Lucas led the Premier League in tackles per game, five times in six seasons
