LIVERPOOL: KUYT IS JEALOUS OF DIAZ
Former Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has confessed that he's jealous of new signing Luis Diaz and that the Colombian international has made a big impression on him since his transfer from FC Porto during the winter transfer window.
Liverpool paid €45m in initial transfer fee plus a potential €15m to sign Diaz from Portuguese giants FC Porto and he has wasted no time in settling down as part of a three-man Liverpool attack for the big games alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
On Diaz, Dirk Kuyt stayed that he's jealous of his lungs and that he has an incredible endurance before adding that it is in his veins to press. The Dutchman further said that the way Diaz has been able to adapt to his new surroundings is highly commendable and that it took between six to twelve months for him to adapt to English football when he signed for the club several years ago. According to him, Diaz doesn't understand English language, but he has been able to settle down to impress for the Reds in attack regardless.
Dirk Kuyt was full of praise for Diaz recently via quotes revealed by LFC Transfer Room on Twitter and journalist Pepe Sierra.
Kuyt has been impressed with Diaz who has scored four times for Liverpool since his move from Porto earlier this year. He opened his account for Liverpool during the 3-1 comeback victory over Norwich City in the league before taking his goals to two in the red colour of the Merseyside club with the opening goal in the 2-0 away win over Brighton and Hove Albion. Diaz scored one of the goals as Liverpool beat hosts Benfica in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie to register his third goal for the club. His opener in the 4-0 home win over Manchester United in the league in midweek made it four goals for him at Liverpool.
