Dutchman Dirk Kuyt has been impressed with how versatile Sadio Mane has been for Liverpool this season. The former Liverpool forward praised Mane on how he has been able to transform himself into a centre forward to accommodate Luis Diaz on the left side of the attack while speaking on the This Is Anfield YouTube channel.

Dirk Kuyt has been impressed with Mane who has been an important player in their quest to win the quadruple this season. According to Dirk Kuyt, Mane started on the right side of the Liverpool attack when he joined the club from fellow Premier League team Southampton several years ago before he moved to the left side of the attack following the signing of fellow African star Mohamed Salah from AS Roma in 2017.

He has now moved centrally in the past weeks with new signing Luis Diaz and the aforementioned Salah occupying the left and right side of the attack respectively. Mane has continued to deliver big performances since moving to the centre of the Liverpool attack.
Mane showed his quality as a versatile attacker during the Champions League semifinal tie with Spanish club Villarreal as he was able to score in each of the two legs.
The Senegalese international doubled the advantage for Liverpool two minutes after the first goal in the first leg as the Reds secured a 2-0 win over Europa League holders Villarreal. Ecuadorian defender PervisEstupinan had earlier put through his own net for the game's opening goal.
In the second leg, Mane was also prominent for Liverpool especially in the second half when he moved centrally from the left side of the Liverpool attack to accommodate the arrival of Colombian star Luis Diaz at the start of the second half. He scored the third goal as Liverpool came from two goals down to beat Villarreal 3-2 and move into the final via a 5-2 aggregate win.
