Dirk Kuytsays that he is looking to win the Dutch league title with Feyenoord

Former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuytsays that he is looking to win the Dutch league title with Feyenoord.

After several years with top European clubs like Liverpool and Fenerbahce,Kuyt recently returned to his home country where he started his extraordinary career. The Dutchman is revered as one of the top footballers from Holland in the last decade. This was not due to copious amounts of talent, but due to a workrate that was second to none.Kuyt has been in better goalscoring form since his return to Feyenoord. Unlike at his previous clubs,Kuyt has been employed in his favourite position as a striker.

This has seen him score an incredible 13 goals from just 16 games. Such an incredible scoring rate has been a major factor behind Feyenoord being close competitors to Ajax in the top spot. The two teams are separated by only two points with almost half of the season already played. Teams like PSV Eindhoven also remain in contention as ever. It is looking like a proper three horse race for the league title in Holland.Kuyt wants to be at the club that comes on the right end of this competition. He has targeted the league title after watching the team finish outside the top three last season.

"We will discuss a potential renewal at the end of the season. I want to focus on playing football for now.I am feeling well and want to keep playing for a long time. A contract renewal could be an option if Feyenoord are on the same page as me. But I am in no rush to resolve my future. My main goal is to win a trophy with Feyenoord. I was voted Player of the Season, won the top scorer award and won the Golden Shoe during my first spell with Feyenoord, but I did not win the league title for example," said Kuyt.
