Adriano Galliani has named Clarence Seedorf in his long list of players

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has named Clarence Seedorf in his long list of players who could feature in the Milan 11 of all time.

Galliani has been at Milan for almost 3 decades and he has overseen many top players representing the club during this period. The 71-year-old recently named his line-up of eleven players who were the best of the best. One of the names is Seedorf, who was incidentally sacked by . The list also includes striker Filippo Inzaghi, who lasted just 12 months as the manager of the club.

Some of the current players to be part of the list include Kaka and Andrea Pirlo. Both these players are now plying their trade in the MLS and are expected to announce their retirement shortly. Milan are one of the greatest clubs in the world and they rank second in terms of the overall Champions League victories with seven compared to the nine of Real Madrid. However, the club has fallen under bad times in the last decade. They are now struggling to even qualify for the Champions League let alone think about winning the title and it may be some time before Milan are back to their best.

β€œAt the foundation, my choices are from what the players have given to Milan.I begin with the defence, which is indisputable: Mauro Tassotti, Alessandro Costacurta, Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini. In goal Sebastiano Rossi, because of his record of being unbeatable.Going forward – Kaka as trequartista and then the partnership of Ruud Gullit and Marco Van Basten. But I give two alternatives up front and say Andriy Shevchenko and Filippo Inzaghi. Pirlo is definitely the playmaker, with Frank Rijkaard and Clarence Seedorf either side of him,” said Gallaini in an interview.
